Choosing To Race While Pregnant

The number one thing that my parents taught me was to chase my passions, never give up on your dreams, and do whatever it takes. This may mean that my route and path may change a little bit, it will be adjusted, but it sure as hell does not mean that my dreams and goals have to change unless I WANT them to.

I want my child to grow up watching its parents chase their dreams, to go after their passions, to get down and dirty with the crazy ideas that they have. I want my child to look at me and know that I never gave up on what I wanted in hopes that someday when they are out their chasing their dreams they will think my mom never gave up so why would I.

Texas 70.3 Race Recap

[Mindset] Changing Your Self Talk

As a coach, and athlete, I preach a lot about positive thinking and positive self talk to my athletes. Honestly, I preach it to myself OFTEN as I have to constantly remind myself to think positively to take the negative thoughts and turn them into positive thoughts on a regular basis. I truly and whole heartily believe in positive self talk, not only does it boost your confidence but it is a great way to develop a mindset that challenges the obstacles you are facing as well as giving you the courage and confidence to stand back up when you fail. The mind is a very powerful feature and is so very often under utilized in our daily lives from a powerful standpoint.

[#IMIWLQ703] End of the 2018 Season

The 2018 season has officially ended, and boy did it end on a fabulous note!!! While my official race season ended at Kona it had not ended with a few of the athletes on the Where Your Feet Take You Team which means that it was not over, and I got to live vicariously through each of these athletes as they went on their way towards reaching their goals. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to spectate and support my athletes at both Ironman Arizona and most recently at the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Indian Wells La Quinta.
